look i know i should probably make a suggestion about this but i'm sure this isn't how the devs intended for flaming scourge to turn out. it feels like a bug because it literally makes the mantra unusable outside of training dummies
a while back, a change was made to flaming scourge: using it in the air cancels it. obviously, this was to combat bird builds cheesing. bird builds aren't too much of a problem anymore.
then, a while after, this change didn't work anymore. reversal flaming scourge worked just fine. it felt amazing to be able to use it properly again.
with this update, it can't be used in the air anymore. i'd like to point out how comedically often you're going to be in the air in a fight. if you're so much as a hair off the ground, flaming scourge will cancel itself. if you jump, it's cancelled. if you try to use it in an uppercut/air combo, it's cancelled.
flaming scourge is useful for two things:
chasing fleeing opponents in ganks
flaming scourge is great for this because it yanks your opponent back to you. the problem however, is that when you're chasing someone, you're going to be slide jumping a lot; that's literally the fastest way to move. this causes flaming scourge to be cancelled.combos (especially air combos)
using flaming scourge in ground combos is lame. there really isn't a point. however, it's good in air combos because opponents always try to s hold out, or they naturally get sent too far away to extend. with the air change, flaming scourge is literally unusable in air combos
this does sort of sound like a suggestion, but i do consider it a bug because it makes flaming scourge near abysmal because you can not use it unless you're standing still, on the ground. and again, i really do think that this isnt the intended behaviour for it.

if you've just landed from a slide jump it counts as you being in the air so it cancels
And it dosent grabs sometimes, all those things are known

it not being usable in the air is intentional
it was only "added back" because all air checks were bugged (stuff like skeleton key wyvern's claw scourge etc) would be usable mid air
and now that's been fixed so has this
Even though bird builds have been nerfed you would still be able to void people very easily with scourge in depths so I don't think it needs any changes / this isn't a bug
