Explanation

If you delete a freighter that is currently being used by a freighter you are unable to fix the error and apply changes to the freighters route.

It warns you, and lets you choose a new hub as you would expect but it wont let you apply any changes, forcing you to delete the freighter and rebuild the route. You can delete it and add it to the bottom of the stops (which overtime means it doesn't matter), but seems unintuitive.

Two reasonable workarounds, so not high priority.
