Game crashes when using Ancient Key to unlock Temple door

Steps to Reproduce

1. Load a saved game where the player is in the Temple area.
2. Obtain the Ancient Key by solving the puzzle in the previous room.
3. Approach the locked door in the Temple and use the Ancient Key to unlock it.
4. The game immediately crashes and returns the player to the desktop.

Explanation

When I use the Ancient Key to unlock the door in the Temple, the game crashes and returns me to the desktop. This has happened every time I've tried to use the key, and is preventing me from progressing further in the game.
