  1. play the game to find out

Explanation

There is no way to get past level 18 without buying (with real money) crystals. The amount of items is greater than the 'plots' available. Only way to clear 'plots' is to cut down trees or mine rocks; which are items that take up space.
Unless you purchase crystals with real money, you get locked.
