Inability to Attack or Switch Perspective After Exiting Traversal Mode

Status: Duplicate
Added by:

on February 7, '26
Reported for:
Actual Result:
The camera remains in third-person, and the Killer is unable to attack or interact with survivors or the environment.
Expected Result:
The camera should return to first-person (or normal perspective), and the Killer should be able to move freely and perform actions like attacking.
Severity:
Blocker
Reproducibility:
Sometimes
Platform:
Steam
Additional Notes & Comments:
Bug occurred immediately after exiting traversal mode; camera remained in third person and killer could not attack.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Start a match in Dead by Daylight and play as a Killer with the Traversal Mode ability (e.g., The Spirit or The Blight).
  2. Activate Traversal Mode and begin traversing the map, moving between objects and the environment as normal.
  3. Exit Traversal Mode (e.g., by pressing the appropriate button or key).
  4. Observe the character's camera perspective; it should stay in third-person view, but unable to switch back to first-person or enter normal movement mode.
  5. Attempt to attack or use any Killer abilities, but find that nothing registers, and you cannot perform any actions.
  6. Exit the game or reload to reset the issue.
