A good Skill Check converted into a great Skill Check, or a great Skill Check generated by installing a Brand New Part, spends tokens for Fast Track.
|
| Expected Result: |
A good Skill Check converted into a great Skill Check, or a great Skill Check generated by installing a Brand New Part, should not spend tokens for Fast Track, as the Perk specifies the great Skill Check to spend tokens must be "basic", so not impacted by Perks, Powers, or Add-Ons based on the Perk Description Update universal terminology.

Steps to Reproduce
- Load into a match equipped with the Perks Stake Out and Fast Track, and a toolbox with the Brand New Part Add-On attached.
- Have a Survivor other than yourself hooked to give yourself Fast Track Tokens, and remain in the Killer's Terror Radius long enough to gain at least one stack of Stake Out.
- Start repairing a generator, and hit a good Skill Check.
- The good Skill Check is turned into a great Skill Check, spending a token of Stake Out.
- This converted great Skill Check spends all accumulated tokens from Fast Track, permanently removing
- Gain more tokens for Fast Track by having another Survivor hooked.
- Start repairing a generator with your toolbox, initiating the installation Skill Check for the Brand New Part.
- Hit the Brand New Part installation Skill Check, which is a great Skill Check.
- Fast Track will spend all tokens, applying both the permanent generator charge removal of the Brand New Part and Fast Track with that single Skill Check.
Explanation
Fast Track applies its tokens to a generator, even when the great Skill check is a good Skill Check turned into a great Skill Check by way of Stake Out, or a great Skill Check created by installing a Brand New Part. By the language of the Perk, Fast Track states that, "While repairing, whenever you hit a great basic Skill Check, spend all tokens." Based on the universal language introduced for Perks in 9.5.0 in the Perk Description Update, "basic" should only apply to the default abilities of a character, while "special" applies to abilities granted by a Power, Perk, or Add-On. Due to this, Fast Track should only spend its tokens when a Survivor gets a great Skill Check by actually hitting it naturally, not when assisted by another Perk or from created great Skill Checks from installing Brand New Parts.
