Explanation
Hello, I'm JohnVelma Creator Program from Thailand. Recently (after patch 9.5.2), I’ve been encountering an issue almost every time I play Killer, both in normal matches and during live streams. At first, I thought it might be a ping issue or something only happening to me. However, after asking my friends and other players on Discord both streamers and non-streamers they are experiencing the same problem.
The issue is this:
when a Killer is chasing very closely behind a Survivor and performs an M1 (Basic Attack), instead of hitting the Survivor, the attack hits the environment instead.
You might argue that this is caused by the game’s aim assist system, but I’m confident that’s not the case.
In the past, I even made a post on this forum suggesting that BHVR should add an option to toggle aim assist on or off in the in-game settings.
For Killers who want to disable Aim Assist, you can do the following:
- Press Windows + R, type appdata
- Go to the folder: Local > Dead by Daylight
- Then go to: Saved > Config > WindowsClientOpen GameUserSettings with Notepad
- Press Ctrl + F and search for “aim”Find AimAssist and change it from true to false
Save the file
I have already disabled aim assist, and many of my friends and other Killer players I’ve spoken to have not disabled it. This issue happens to both players who have aim assist enabled and disabled.
I have never experienced this issue before not even once until the patch 9.5.2 update.I don’t know whether this is a bug or something else, because there is no mention of it in the patch notes. But if it is a bug, it needs to be fixed urgently.
