Steps to Reproduce
- Enter 2v8 match as Survivor
- Possibly observe a bad ping symbol next to your name in the lobby
- As soon as the game starts, the UI is missing
- Attempt to open a menu. It will be invisible
- Try to close the menu: it won't work, you're stuck
Explanation
Attempting to play 2v8 mode as survivor the game shows no UI (including players on the left side and skill-checks).
Trying to open a menu (such as the Tab screen) causes a softlock where the menu also isn't displayed and no inputs are accepted anymore.
I started coming across this after today's (28.04.2026) new update.
All the matches I played were survivor (escapist) 2v8 matches. Unfortunately, since the bug pretty much forces you to disconnect, resulting in a matchmaking ban, I was not able to test whether the issue also occurs in other game modes or find reliable steps for reproduction.
While I was not able to reproduce the issue in 100% of my matches, it was a problem in 2 out of 3 attempted matches, causing a ban from matchmaking.
Attached you can find all my log files from today. In one (possibly unrelated) case, the game ran fine for half the match then suddenly crashed in the middle of the trial, opening the engine's crash reporting program. Unfortunately I'm not sure which of these log files that crash might have been.
Additionally, in all my matches I had a bad ping symbol next to my name in the lobby while waiting for the match to start. However, checking my ping in game during the matches where it worked, it was consistently around 30 ms. Again, I am unsure if this is a symptom or unrelated.
As soon as my ban expires I might try again and attach a video clip of the issue for further clarification in case the issue appears again.
