Explanation
During my matches, I experience a specific and aggressive type of server lag. On my screen, I am able to walk and move around completely normally, but suddenly and violently, the game forces a rollback and snaps me backward to a previous position. This rubberbanding doesn't just affect my character; it teleports everyone in the lobby—both the Survivors and the Killer—at the exact same moment. This happens consistently around 5 times per match, making precise movement and fair tiles loops almost impossible.
To provide a concrete example from a recent match: I was running away from the Killer during an intense chase. On my screen, I was moving ahead normally, but due to a sudden server desync, the Killer was abruptly teleported into a nearby solid wall and performed a missed attack animation against the environment, while my character was suddenly snapped and teleported further away. This completely breaks the tracking, hit registration, and fairness of the game for both sides.
Crucially, every single time these rollbacks and sudden teleports happen, the red ping indicator icon immediately lights up on my UI. However, my actual home internet connection, bandwidth, and baseline ping remain completely stable and normal. Since it repositions every player simultaneously, it is clearly a server-side performance degradation or replication failure rather than a local network issue on my end.
To make matters worse, this server instability persists after the match ends. After every single game I play, without exception, I am immediately kicked to the main menu with the error message: "The connection to the party has been lost." This requires me to re-lobby or recreate the party after every individual match. This combination of in-game rollbacks and immediate post-game disconnections points to a critical issue with server stability and session management in the current build. I kindly ask the development team to investigate this as it makes the game unplayable.
