Bug: Visible Red Debug Outline Around The Houndmaster’s Dog During Matchmaking
Bug #5115
Visible Red Debug Outline Around The Houndmaster’s Dog During Matchmaking
| Status: | Duplicate |
| Added by: | Anonymous on July 4, '26 |
| Reported for: | |
| Actual Result: |
A visible red collision / hitbox / debug outline appeared around The Houndmaster’s dog during a live public matchmaking match. This can reveal the dog’s position through the environment and may give Survivors unintended gameplay information. The issue was visible from my perspective on Xbox and also from my teammate’s perspective on PlayStation.
|
| Expected Result: |
The Houndmaster’s dog should not display any visible collision, hitbox, or debug/debug-like outline to players during matchmaking. Its position should only be readable through intended gameplay visuals and audio cues.

| Additional Notes & Comments: |
This happened in a public matchmaking match on version 10.0.1. It was the first time I noticed the issue, so I cannot confirm consistent reproduction yet. The visible red outline was seen by both me on Xbox and my teammate on PlayStation, so it may not be platform-specific. Because this outline can reveal the dog’s position in a competitive match, it may have gameplay impact rather than being only a visual issue. Screenshot attached.

Steps to Reproduce
- Queue into a public/random match as Survivor.
- Face The Houndmaster as the Killer.
- During the match, look at The Houndmaster’s dog.
- Notice that a visible red collision / hitbox / debug outline appears around the dog.
- The outline was visible to both players in the same match, one on Xbox and one on PlayStation.
Explanation
During a live public matchmaking match against The Houndmaster, the dog had a visible red collision / hitbox / debug-like outline around it. This outline was visible in normal gameplay and appeared over the dog in the environment, as shown in the attached screenshot.
The issue was visible from my perspective on Xbox, and it was also visible to my teammate playing on PlayStation in the same match. This was the first time we noticed the issue, so I cannot confirm consistent reproduction yet, but it occurred during a real public matchmaking match on version 10.0.1. Screenshot attached.
