Actual Result:
The killer's weapon interferes with gameplay and causes frustration due to lack of polish

Severity:
Minor
Reproducibility:
Always
Platform:
Steam
Additional Notes & Comments:

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Load into any match as The Pig
  2. Press the 'A' key on the keyboard assuming controls are default
  3. Observe the broken physics of The Pig's weapon as it immediately snaps to the right like its broken
  4. Make frowny face

Explanation

The weapon of The Pig has broken physics, broken animations / visuals.

For over 3 years now, when you strafe to the left the weapon snaps to the right in an anatomically impossible way. Strafing to the left is the easiest way to cause this to happen, but you can also see similar weapon movement if you use the mouse or right thumb stick to move the killer's view very fast.

Why is this important? Well, during a match, this is distracting. On top of that, it makes it harder to see visual feedback which before the bug you would have been able to see guaranteed, such as how close you are to obstacles. Because you cant get this information since the hand snaps to the right when you strafe to the left, this makes chasing survivors as The Pig just a bit harder, unnecessarily.

If this behaviour is actually intended, please reconsider.
(It is very hard to believe that it is).

Lore dump:
This bug was introduced into the game at the same time some other bugs were, during the time Pig was 'buffed' in 2023.
The bugs were this one, another one that broke her crouching speed to make it very very slow, and a third bug that forced her first person camera to look down at the floor after a successful basic attack - a bug which Legion still currently has, if you want to see what I'm talking about.
That third bug was addressed a long time ago, but if you stay incredibly still after getting a successful basic attack, you can still see some downward movement that shows the underlying problem remains, and that the 'fix' was just a quick one.
