Steps to Reproduce
- The Ghoul’s base kit has S-tier mobility, anti-loop, and forgiving mechanics leaving survivors with zero counterplay options.
- Kaneki’s Kagune Leaps allow him to cross large maps at extreme speeds with virtually no distance penalty for mistakes.
- Core loop design is undermined because holding W loses to Kaneki’s speed, and staying at a tile gets you hit over the barrier.
- Kaneki’s Enraged Mode grants him a third leap, faster vault speeds, and an extended duration that pauses or slows while survivors mend.
- The QTE prompt during grab-attacks extends Enraged Mode on success but carries no penalty if failed.
- A generous grab-attack detection radius and forgiving collision hitboxes make it easy for players to get high-value downs without mechanical skill.
- To fix these issues, increase the fatigue cooldown animation for missed Kagune Leaps, add a clear penalty for failed grab-attack QTEs, and decrease the grab-attack radius at pallets to prevent survivors from being pulled through solid cover.
