Actual Result:
After returning to the game via Xbox Quick Resume and completing the re-login process, all buttons in the main menu become visibly inactive (grayed out/disabled state). Player cannot navigate menus, start matches, or access any game features. The buttons are clearly in a disabled state and do not respond to any controller inputs. The only solution is to fully close and restart the application.
Expected Result:
After re-authenticating following Xbox Quick Resume, all main menu buttons should be active and fully functional, allowing the player to access all game features without requiring a full restart of the application.
Severity:
Major
Reproducibility:
Always
Platform:
Xbox Series S|X
Additional Notes & Comments:
This issue appears to be related to the Xbox Quick Resume functionality and the game's session management system. The buttons remain in a disabled/inactive state even after successful re-authentication, suggesting the game is not properly initializing the UI state after login when resumed from suspension.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Launch Dead By Daylight on Xbox console (Xbox One or Xbox Series S|X)
  2. Play the game normally
  3. Exit to Xbox dashboard without fully closing the game (suspend the game)
  4. Leave the game suspended for an extended period or launch other games
  5. Return to Dead By Daylight using Xbox Quick Resume feature
  6. Observe that the game prompts for re-authentication/login
  7. Complete the login process
  8. Attempt to interact with any buttons in the main menu (Play, Store, etc.)

Explanation

Xbox Quick Resume feature causes main menu buttons to become inactive/grayed out after re-login, requiring full game restart.
