Steps to Reproduce
- Launch Dead by Daylight through Steam.
- Wait for the game to reach the main menu/lobby.
- The game immediately starts causing severe stuttering and freezing on the entire computer.
- Try to navigate through the lobby or change the game's graphics settings.
- The computer becomes extremely slow and almost completely unresponsive.
- Starting or joining a match makes the freezing even worse.
- The issue also occurs when running the game in windowed mode.
- At this point, the computer becomes unusable and the only way to recover is to force restart the PC.
- The issue happens every time the game is launched.
- Reinstalling Dead by Daylight four times did not resolve the problem.
Explanation
can someone help me? where can i submit a ticket explaining an issue that makes the game unplayable? Ever since DBD updated with the new anti cheat guys... my gf hasn t been able to play. the game completely freezes her computer, she can't play a single match, and she has to force restart the PC to get it working normally again.
As soon as I launch the game, my entire computer starts experiencing severe stuttering and freezing, to the point where it becomes almost impossible to use the computer while the game is open. This happens both in the lobby and during matches.
I have already changed the graphics settings several times, including lowering the graphics quality, but there has been no improvement. I also tried running the game in windowed mode, but the problem continues in exactly the same way.
What is even more concerning is that I have already reinstalled the game four times, and the problem is still happening. Therefore, a simple reinstallation does not seem to solve the issue.
I need help finding out what is causing these severe freezes, because the game is essentially making my entire computer unusable while it is running.
Could you please let me know what troubleshooting steps or checks you recommend to identify and fix this problem?
