Steps to Reproduce

1. version mismatch
2. outdated client

Explanation

Steam refused to update my DBD to the current version, and I was stuck on the version from 8 days ago, instead of 2 days ago.

If devs made the error message state "version mismatch" it would have been easy to understand, but instead nobody could figure out what was wrong due to the generic error message you guys gave me.

The error was impossible to diagnose.
Please fix.
