Explanation
PC Epic Games Soft Crash with crass handler and/or Freezing.
This issue has popped up for me in the last week, however seems to have been going on for others for a while now. Attached is a screenshot of the bug handler upon crash, pulling memory read errors. Seems to be maybe sourcing from a bad pointer, the memory is freed up too early and the pointer points to a no longer existing mem address.
I have experienced two occurrences now. Both times mid-late game. First time was a soft crash with the crash handler, next time today was a complete freeze, where music audio kept playing, and I had to force close the game via task manager.
Both occurrences involved totems. I had just began the cleanse totem action then instant soft crashed, and the freeze occurred when a totem was lit right next to me, then instant freeze. Cannot prove that is the definitive cause, could be a coincidence. I think it's related though.
I will attach further info/screenshots as I run into the issue further.
Fix attempts:
-I have verified game files and reinstalled too
-Made sure Nvidia drivers were up to date
-Disabled overlays
9/27/26: Today got much worse. Crashed almost on an every match basis. Updated with another crash report. Didn't seem to be related to totems from what I could tell today too. My previous totem hypothesis doesn't look as likely.
