I hope this isn't an intended change, but I looked around and couldn't see anything formally stating this change to the perk. I believe at some point prior to Mindbreaker being kill switched, it was also bugged by not pausing the Exhausted status effect on survivors repairing generators.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Cause a survivor to become blind from a source that is not Mindbreaker.
  2. Leave the survivor to interact with a generator while having Mindbreaker equipped.
  3. See the blindness status wear off passively, despite Mindbreaker previously pausing the effect.

Explanation

Mindbreaker is no longer pausing the blindness effect when touching a generator. Previously, if you had a means of causing survivors the "blindness" status effect and they began to repair a generator, the blindness duration would pause.

Currently, (on 9.3.2) survivors are able to repair generators and passively remove their blindness status effect. Prior to Mindbreaker being kill switched recently (around December 2025), I would pair Mindbreaker with Knight's "Grim Iron Mask" add-on, which causes blindness for 75 seconds when a survivor becomes hunted by a guard. This 75 second timer would pause at whatever time was remaining when the survivor began to repair a generator.
