I will be linking unlisted videos in the near future featuring these experiments and steps I made mention of earlier. In the two and a half years I have been playing as the Unknown, I have only ever gotten the Iridescent Chaser Emblem 21 times according to the official DBD stats page. I will give more information in the coming days.

Steps to Reproduce
- Select the Unknown and queue a public match of Dead by Daylight.
- Play in a specific way that prioritizes the use of the Unknown's kit, i.e. using the UVX to weaken, damage, and down survivors.
- Prioritize keeping survivors Weakened for as long as possible in a chase, breaking line of sight, and backing off if needed.
- Repeat steps two and three until the match ends.
- Make note on what level the Chaser Emblem was granted.
- Play another match of the Unknown, this time prioritizing getting up close and personal to survivors, use a basic attack rather then the UVX to injure and down survivors.
- Continue until match ends.
- Make note on what level the Chaser Emblem was granted for the Unknown in that match.
- Compare emblems.
Explanation
Unknown has a Chaser Emblem bug that exists within the game. Regardless on if I get Merciless Killer, Ruthless Killer, Brutal Killer, or Entity Hungers result in my game, it seems that the Unknown struggles to get anything above Silver Chaser emblem in DBD.
This seems to have been an issue since its launch in March of 2024.
I have previously done experiments with the Unknown where I will tend to use its Basic Attack more often than using its power, Unknown Venom X, and I've noticed that I'll get upwards of Gold or sometimes Iridescent Chaser emblems.
However, whenever I more strongly play into this Killer's power, i.e. breaking Line of Sight against Weakened Survivors, backing away to make it more difficult for the Survivor to remove their Weakened.
This Chaser Emblem issue seems to be similar to Springtrap's Chaser Emblem bug not tracking his axe hits properly, but I do think that it's different from his. It's especially apparent for the Unknown as a player that is very aware of how the Unknown works will need to back away, break line of sight, and break chase against survivors to get the most out of its power kit.
It could be that its associated score events, Coming At You, Fearful Impact, and Lurking are categorized incorrectly as Devious score events. These being changed or adjusted for Hunting score events would help this killer out immensely.
