Xbox Series X Controllers Randomly Disconnecting in Dead by Daylight

Steps to Reproduce

1. Launch Dead By Daylight on the Xbox series X using a wireless Xbox controller
2. Enter the match and proceed as normal as you would play
3. continue to play the game or navigate throughout the game as normal
4. At random intervals the controller disconnects without warning and takes 2-15 seconds to reconnect

Explanation

I have been experiencing persistent issues with my Xbox Series X controllers randomly disconnecting while playing Dead by Daylight for approximately the past two months. These disconnections can happen at virtually any point while the game is running, including during matches, in the lobby, while navigating menus, or browsing the in-game store. They can occur multiple times in the same match, although the frequency varies.

The issue has occurred during chases, while repairing generators, healing teammates, and performing other in-game actions. The time it takes for my controller to reconnect varies from approximately 2–3 seconds to 10–15 seconds. These unexpected disconnections significantly disrupt gameplay, especially when they happen during time-sensitive situations where losing control of my character can directly affect the outcome of a match.

I have tried multiple Xbox Series X controllers and have changed the batteries, recalibrated the controllers, and repeatedly checked for updates. Despite these troubleshooting attempts, the issue continues. I have also tested my controllers in multiple other games and have not experienced the same problem anywhere outside of Dead by Daylight.

This has been happening consistently for nearly every gaming session over the past two months. Although the number of disconnections varies, the issue is frequent and unpredictable, and there have been matches where it has happened multiple times.
