The Houndmaster – Y-axis mouse sensitivity is significantly lower than X-axis sensitivity

Status: Open
Priority:
High
Added by: Anonymous on October 21, '26

Due date:
Reported for:
Actual Result:
The Y-axis sensitivity is significantly lower than the X-axis sensitivity, making precise camera control difficult. Increasing the overall sensitivity cannot compensate for this difference without making horizontal movement too fast
Expected Result:
Mouse sensitivity should be consistent between the X-axis and Y-axis, allowing normal camera movement
Severity:
Major
Reproducibility:
Always
Platform:
Steam
Additional Notes & Comments:

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Start a game as Houndmaster
  2. Move the mouse horizontally (X-axis) and vertically (Y-axis)
  3. Notice that vertical camera movement is significantly slower than horizontal movement
  4. Increase the mouse sensitivity in the settings
  5. Notice that the X-axis becomes too sensitive while the Y-axis remains comparatively slow

Explanation

The Houndmaster – Y-axis mouse sensitivity is significantly lower than X-axis sensitivity

When playing as The Houndmaster, the mouse sensitivity on the Y-axis (vertical movement) is noticeably lower than on the X-axis (horizontal movement).

This makes vertical camera movement much slower than horizontal movement, making it extremely difficult to aim and control the camera properly.

Increasing the mouse sensitivity in the game settings does not solve the issue, as it increases sensitivity on both axes. This results in the X-axis becoming excessively sensitive while trying to compensate for the slow Y-axis.

The sensitivity should be consistent between both axes, as it is with other Killers.
