Explanation

Possible inconsistency with Fast Track charge reduction

While testing perks in Dead by Daylight, we noticed that Fast Track may not behave exactly as described in the in-game tooltip.

In-game description

Whenever a Survivor other than yourself is hooked, Fast Track is granted 1/2/3 Token(s), up to a maximum of 9.
Succeeding a Great Repair Skill Check consumes all accumulated Tokens.
Permanently reduces the Repair Charges requirement of that Generator by 2 charges per Token.

However, based on our testing results, the actual value appears higher than 2 charges per token.

Test 1
Setup
Custom match
3 Survivors each with 9 Fast Track tokens

According to the description, the expected reduction should be:

2 × 9 × 3 = 54 charges

We then had the killer repeatedly kick the generator until its progress fully regressed to 0.

After that, we used Invocation: Weaving Spiders, which adds 10 generator charges after the Invocation is completed.

Expected result
54 + 10 = 64 / 90

This should not be enough to complete the generator.

Actual result

The generator immediately completed and lit up.

This strongly suggests that the total charge reduction from Fast Track is greater than 54, meaning it likely does not reduce only 2 charges per token.

Of course, this only proves that the value is not 2, but it does not necessarily confirm that it is exactly 3.

Test 2

We conducted another test using a more controlled combination of perks and items.

Setup
A survivor used Specialist with 3 tokens
A survivor used Fast Track with 9 tokens
Another survivor used Fast Track with 9 tokens
We applied a Brand New Part

Based on the earlier observation that Fast Track might actually reduce 3 charges per token, the expected calculation would be:

Specialist: 12
Fast Track: 27
Fast Track: 27
Brand New Part: 10

Total:

12 + 27 + 27 + 10 = 76

Then we completed Invocation: Weaving Spiders, which should add another 10 charges, bringing the generator to:

86 / 90
Actual result

The generator did not complete, but the progress bar appeared almost full, which is roughly consistent with the expected ~86 charges.

Conclusion

Our testing suggests that:

Fast Track does not appear to reduce 2 charges per token as described.
The effective value may be closer to 3 charges per token, although further testing would be needed to confirm the exact number.

It would be helpful to know whether this is:

an outdated tooltip,
an intentional change, or
a calculation bug.

If anyone else has tested this interaction or has additional data, please share.
