Unable to Collect Upgrade at Ellis During Tutorial

Steps to Reproduce

1. Playing tutorial, during expenite upgrade section
2. Got enough for an upgrade before voiceover finished explaining how to craft upgrades
3. Called ellis and deposited more, could not collect upgrade still.

Explanation

cannot collect upgrade at ELLIS during tutorial. it says 1 upgrade available, but when i call to it and stand next to it, there is no sphere indicating the collection radius, and i do not get an upgrade.
