Steps to Reproduce

1. Reload your weapons to max ammo
2. You are given a little bit extra ammo to refill your current magazine
3. Cancel the reload by swapping to a different gun
4. The extra ammo is deleted

Explanation

When you reload your weapons to max ammo, you are given a little bit extra ammo to refill your current magasine. I think if you cancel the reaload by swapping to a different gun, it deletes the extra ammo
