Actual Result:
Assets (Door + Hook + Wall) create a physical bottleneck. The Killer's****box is too wide to enter the gap, preventing the "Pick Up" prompt from appearing.
|
Expected Result:
Sufficient clearance between assets to ensure the Killer can always reach and pick up a downed survivor.

Severity:
Minor

Rarely

Platform:
Steam

Additional Notes & Comments:
"This collision bottleneck creates a functional 'Dead Zone' that compromises the game's competitive integrity. Since the Survivor can intentionally exploit this geometry to remain unreachable, it forces an uninteractive 'Bleed Out' scenario. To resolve this, I recommend implementing a minimum clearance radius for procedural Hook spawns near Killer-specific assets like Security Doors, ensuring the Killer's collision capsule always has a valid path to the 'Pick Up' interaction."

Steps to Reproduce
- Locate or Force Spawn: Find a map tile where a Security Door (The Animatronic's power) has spawned in close proximity to a Hook and a Wall/Static Asset.
- Create the Bottleneck: Ensure the distance between the three assets (Door frame, Hook base, and Wall) is wide enough for a Survivor's crawling hitbox but narrower than the Killer’s collision capsule.
- Positioning: As a Survivor, enter the Dying State and crawl into the center of this "triangle" of assets, positioning yourself as deep as possible into the corner.
- The Interaction Test: As the Killer, attempt to walk directly toward the Survivor to trigger the "Pick Up" prompt.
- Observation: Observe that the Killer’s movement is physically obstructed by the overlapping collision of the assets, preventing them from reaching the interaction radius required to pick up the Survivor.
Explanation
Technical Observation: Asset-Based Body Blocking (Dead Zone)
Description: The bug consists of a physical bottleneck created by the convergence of three static/semi-static objects: the Environment Wall, a Hook, and a Security Door.
The Interaction: By positioning themselves in the center of these three points while in the dying state, the survivor effectively "plugs" the only entry point.
The Physics: The gap left between the wall, the hook, and the door is wider than a crawling survivor's****box, but narrower than the Killer’s collision capsule.
The Result: The Killer is physically unable to get close enough to trigger the "Pick Up" prompt, as their hitbox is constantly "scraping" against the surrounding assets.
Strategic Impact: This is not a visual glitch; it is a functional exploit. A survivor can intentionally crawl into this "alcove" to become immune to being hooked, forcing a "Bleed Out" situation or allowing other survivors time to finish objectives while the Killer is stuck trying to find an angle of interaction.
