The potent extract addon makes fog vials wildly inconsistent
|
| Expected Result: |
There should be a maximum cap on the fog's opacity, so the killer isn't sometimes stuck with the bottom 2 pictures

| Additional Notes & Comments: |
Potent extract should be reworked to no longer affect opacity, because it causes the fog to be wildly inconsistent. If this addon always worked like in the top 2 pictures, that would be good. But the fog sometimes looking like the bottom 2 pictures is not fair. Another suggestion is that because the 2v8 fog crystals were fixed to 6 meters, the potent extract on fog vials should reduce the size of the fog cloud by 50%, so that it becomes 6 meters if combined with the mushroom formula addon.

Steps to Reproduce
- Create 4 bots in a custom match, and give them all a fog vial and a potent extract addon
- Start the game, and have the killer start a chase, so the survivor will activate their fog vial
- Take a screenshot of how easy it is to see through the fog
- Repeat this process with different parts of the same map. Prioritize examples where something is lit up on the killer's screen, whether it's an environmental object or the sky itself
- Repeat this process with different maps
- Notice that sometimes you can still see the survivor in the fog (like in the top 2 pictures), and sometimes the survivors are completely hidden (like in the bottom 2 pictures)
Explanation
The potent extract addon makes fog vials wildly inconsistent. Sometimes survivors are still visible in the fog, and sometimes they are just completely hidden. Attached are pictures to show the inconsistencies. The same graphic settings were used each time, and all the graphics settings were chosen within DBD (no 3rd party filters).
