Status: Open

Added by: Anonymous on September 5, '26
Assigned to:

Due date:
Reported for:
Actual Result:
Easy Anti-Cheat cannot be run if Driver Signature Enforcement is disabled. (Code 30007)
Expected Result:
Game running
Severity:
Blocker
Reproducibility:
Always
Platform:
Steam
Additional Notes & Comments:
Thanks for trying to improve anti-cheat, it's worth every game breaking issue as long as we can get rid of the cheaters.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Running the game with Sandboxie installed, and maybe with a created environment

Explanation

Game doesn't launch when Sandboxie (an app that can create sandbox environments in a pc) is installed, tried for 3 days. I noticed it's because Denuvo anti-cheat is detecting its kernel parts. The error given to me by the game is completely irrelevant;
"Easy Anti-Cheat cannot be run if Driver Signature Enforcement is disabled. (Code 30007)"
I already did have;
bcdedit /set TESTSIGNING OFF
bcdedit /set NOINTEGRITYCHECKS OFF

Windows Boot Loader

nointegritychecks No
testsigning No

The moment I uninstalled Sandboxie, the game started running.
Note: I do not use Dead by daylight inside Sandboxie environment, I run it through Steam

Reporting as "Sev: Blocker" because nobody would ever think Sandboxie or an another app is the problem. I showed the running app list to Claude, and it suggested uninstalling Sandboxie because it has Kernel stuff in it and it might be triggering this issue
