It hasn't been showing me any of my customizations for any of my characters (survivors &killers) unless I go to the shop and it's annoying.

You most likely have filters on. There is tag looking button next to the search bar in your characters customization page. Press that to open popup window and only thing check marked there should be "Unlocked". This should show you all your cosmetics again.
