Status: New
Priority:
High

Due date:
Reported for:
Actual Result:
Severe rubberbanding that places the Nurse's camera where you charged the blink from instead of where you blinked to for several frames
Expected Result:
Smooth camera transport along with the Nurse
Severity:
Major
Reproducibility:
Frequently
Platform:
Steam
Additional Notes & Comments:
Not set

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Play Nurse on any map
  2. Use Nurse's first blink, charge duration doesn't seem to matter
  3. Charge Nurse's second blink to the maximum distance possible, just before fatiguing
  4. Release second blink a frame/several frames before fatigue

Explanation

Nurse's second blink will oftentimes not transport the killer's camera with where the Nurse herself should be, which results in significant rubberbanding on the client end, where you appear to teleport in place for a few frames and then are suddenly transported to where you should be. This often results in missed hits or at the very least severe disorientation.

Just to add to this, this has been ongoing since Kaneki's update in March. Nurse sometimes gets rubberbanded in place when she attempts to blink onto a survivor's exact position, and this is not that. This happens to me at least once or twice a match where I'm abruptly nowhere near where I was blinking/sent back to my original position, and it is a devastating bug.

My contribution. It feels like highway robbery when it happens. If I had to guess, it does seem to occur when you blink very close to a survivor's exact location, and the server rubberbands you back to your original blink position.

Idk why my post is "duplicate" even though this post doesn't even talk about the nurse's bugged animations lmfao

Another example from tonight. It really feels like you're being punished for blinking precisely.

And that's not all. She can't fly out of the basement in every map, only if you stand in the very center, but you won't be able to fly as far as possible from the basement because of this. Broken fatigue animation, "frozen" fingers animation during the blink. During the fatigue, she's getting additionally stopped and rubber-banded back by the server, slowing her down even more. The fatigue animation is not synchronized with the actual timing, and on the screen it looks like the camera is already raised and looks froward and it looks like the fatigue is over, but no, you still stand on place being hindered for another half a second or a second and can’t press the button to pick up the survivor. It's disorienting.

I still wonder why the nurse still isn't fixed lmfao, a lot of people complained, I literally talked to hens, otz, knightlight, etc and they all reported the bugs to DBD, it's been two years like o***
